We've now used SDPP twice - once for a smaller exterior fencing painting job for our HOA (paid by the HOA), then personally to paint the exteriors of our houses. For the most recent gig, we dragged out the process for months with all sorts of questions and changes on our side related to the needs of the HOA. Hired SDPP's to paint the house exterior and a couple of rooms inside and replace baseboards/trim. I'm pretty particular and Chris and his crew didn't disappoint - really high quality work and nice guys to work with. He provided a detailed quote at a good price (which includes their heavy focus on the prep work and wood repair). Chris was helpful with making color selections and made sure samples were up and approved before painting began. He never says 'no', but he's very straightforward and will tell you what is going to work best and why. Just a really honest, trustworthy, detailed guy with a lot of experience. I've recommended him to relatives and friends...my highest compliment. Don't even bother looking around.

We got three quotes from local painters to paint our three bedrooms and Paint Pros were by far the most reasonable. Based on positive reviews and our good quote, we went with them and are very happy with the results. Chris was able to meet with me quickly after I called and helped with color selection for a room I was undecided on. They painted shortly after that when the time was good for us. The work was fast, efficient, and clean. We have a dog in the house that they were very patient with. The paint they use is good quality and low odor. We found just a few areas that needed touching up and they sent someone the next day to come and fix everything up. We will be using them again for our kitchen next week.

For the last couple weeks I've been trying to get online with the sole intention of reviewing San Diego Paint Pro's and making sure they get the reputation they deserve: Excellent. I have five years of painting experience myself but now have a different job and can't necessarily take care of my own painting needs- especially on short notice. Having a rental property, I can't always control when I will have access and the need to paint. I've had other painters and I cannot recommend Chris highly enough. Break down: Excellent customer service: Chris made an appointment to give me an estimate. He showed up on time. He emailed me within 24 hours and was very careful to be appropriately specific about exactly what and how I wanted the job done. Reliability: The guys showed up everyday, on time, ready to work and got right to it. They got the job done in the time frame we agreed upon, for the price we agreed upon. Quality: As a painter, I hate a sloppy prep job and can spot a bad cut in a mile away: They do top-notch work -- great prep and great finish. Chris' team was EXTREMELY neat. (This is the sign of a great painter btw) I wish that all of my experiences in dealing with professionals were like this and I'm very glad to be able to recommend them.

I just had SD paint pros re-paint the exterior trim of my home. I chose to go the route of all the prep work (sanding, scraping etc) prior to the painting. I am VERY satisfied with their work. Chris came out to give me an estimate and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He sent me an estimate that night as promised, including additional estimates for other services I had asked about during his visit. He also informed me that their estimates are good for one year, which is great for me as I plan to have SD paint pros come back to paint the entire exterior of my home sometime in the next year. The one place where they are losing the 5th star, is that Chris explained to me that the trim would be completely smooth, no uneven surfaces that appear to be prior paint coats underneath. I think he oversold how smooth it would be, because even with all the sanding (in some places down to bare wood), it still appears to have an uneven surface in some places. One of the guys explained why that happened in some places and not others (some of the trim is original to the home, and some is newer) but i was still expecting it to all be smooth. Even considering this point, the trim looks SO much better than it did before. The guys that came and painted today were very friendly and actually painted a portion of my front porch trim for free. Also i guess they spilled some white paint on my black doormat so he painted the door mat back to black AND went and bought another one similar to mine to give me the choice! SD paint pros were reliable, friendly, and very professional, i plan to use them in the future and recommend them.

I just had the entire interior of my house re-textured, repaired, and painted by San Diego Paint Pros and I must say that they exceeded my expectations in terms of how they restored the appearance of my homes walls. I recently purchased a home that had extensive wall damage throughout the residence and I was amazed how they restored the integrity of my homes walls before painting. Chris and his crew patched holes, smoothed over uneven surfaces, and did extensive plaster work before painting. I just had new carpet installed a couple weeks ago and the painters were very careful no to spill or stain the carpet. They were overall very clean and respectful of my home. Now my walls now look brand new with fresh coats of paint that hide all the imperfections previously displayed throughout my house. I selected 3 colors to be used throughout my house and had 2 other contractors place estimates that were $1100 and $3700 higher than San Diego Paint Pros. Due to the extensive wall damage they really tried to charge me a lot more than I had anticipated. Chris later informed me that they were not licensed for plaster work (as it's a separate license than painting) and would have probably subbed that portion of the job out to another company. So the price I was given was very reasonable and they did not attempt to raise the price during production. They gave me an estimate of 5-7 days to produce my job and they finished on the job on day 7. The painters came to the job everyday after they started it except one day when the plaster was drying. I had no issues with the time frame that the job was produced. I can truly say that this company was on time, and on budget with my paint job and would recommend them to anyone.
